Be Cool Surf Camp didn’t start with big budgets or fancy gear — just two surfboards, a dream, and the waves of Weligama Bay. We’re a group of local surfers, born and raised here, who found joy, purpose, and connection in the ocean and wanted to share it with the world.
Since opening in 2013, we’ve grown from a few lessons on the sand to 90 boards and thousands of surfers from across the globe. But the heart of Be Cool hasn’t changed — it’s still friendly, laid-back, and full of love for the ocean.
We’re 100% locally owned, and every lesson is guided with patience, laughter, and the spirit of Weligama. Whether you’re catching your first wave or chasing the perfect ride, you’ll find more than just surfing here — you’ll find a family.
